I’ve been asked many times over the years about David Miscavige’s absolute power in Scientology and why it is that no one seems to be able to take it away from him, either by an insider coup or external legal action. In this clip, I go into the exact reasons why that hasn’t happened and won’t so long as people do not understand how Scientology and the Sea Organization are actually structured and run. Enjoy!

Chris, thanks for addressing this subject – one that many people don’t understand. Mounting a coup is not possible. Since everyone reports on everyone else, the minute you tried to recruit anyone to your “coup,” it would likely be exposed in someone’s “confession” auditing. Anyone you tried to recruit would likely turn you in out of fear. Miscavige has absolute power. He can send someone to the RPF, or kick them out of Scientology, with a word. And he systematically removes or de-powers any possible rival. If anyone else starts to get too popular with the crew, they are removed. He has removed and de-powered all other executives, the entirety of Watchdog Committee, CMO and Executive Strata.
Thanks Jeff for chiming in on this one. Definitely true and you would know!
