I am often asked about L. Ron Hubbard’s imminent return and what this could mean for Scientology. I’ve often treated such questions as very tongue-in-cheek but what would Scientologists do if someone claimed to be the returned Hubbard? Are there procedures in place to deal with this? Enjoy!

There is a guy who claims to be Hubbard reincarnated. Calls himself Lafayette Hubbard on FB, and has a site called “new era scientology.” It appears that some Indies have embraced him. Bridge Publications has, of course, tried to block his books and writings on Amazon Kindle. I don’t know the Church’s reaction, but I’m sure it’s hostile. Miscavige doesn’t want Hubbard back, or anyone claiming to be Hubbard. It’s a power threat. As for a “succession plan” – nope. Miscavige will hang on to power as long as he can.
