In this clip from my first episode of the Sensibly Speaking Podcast 2.0, I respond to a viewer’s comments about racial inequality, policing and white privilege, pushing back on each point he makes using facts and statistics to show why there definitely is a problem with racial disparity here while at the same time acknowledging we have made progress. Enjoy!
Four years ago I changed up my podcast and responded to a viewer’s comments about some comments we had made about Black Lives Matter. In this clip, I talk about my research into the background of the Trayvon Martin shooting and how it was exaggerated, misrepresented and blatantly lied about in order to make it a racial issue, which is how Black Lives Matter as an organization was founded. It wasn’t true and never was, but that didn’t stop the media and special interest groups from crusading this into a racial justice issue. It was wrong then, it’s still wrong now but people are falling for the propaganda in droves. I believe in human rights and equal rights for all (I’ve made it my life’s work to try to forward that message), but I believe that it is only through the truth and facts that we will make equal rights a reality. Enjoy!
