What is a Scientology Mission?

In this short clip, I explain what a Scientology “mission” or “franchise” is and how they used to be the mainline way most Scientologists were first introduced to the subject. I discuss exactly how this was messed up by Scientology itself. Enjoy!

  1. There is theoretically a “Mission” here in Portland. I have visited it and it is nothing but an empty building – no sign of Scientology anywhere. This is the state of many so-called “Missions” these days – they exist only on paper but not in actuality. Their address lists list out hundreds of supposed “Missions” but when you look for them, they are just empty buildings, or two people and a dog in someone’s living room, only open a few days a week if that.
