The Most Critical Thing That Scientologists Need

critical thinking wood blocks

The reason that people fall for Scientology or cults like it is not because they are stupid. In fact, it’s been said that the smarter someone is, the easier they are to get involved in something like Scientology and the easier it is for them to create the cognitive dissonance (self-justification) necessary to stay involved despite seeing numerous signs and reasons to get out.Read More »The Most Critical Thing That Scientologists Need

Live and Let Die: Why Criticize Scientology?

Why Criticize Scientology?

When I was a part of the Church of Scientology and in the Sea Org, I always used to wonder about people who attacked Scientology. I wondered what motivated them; why did they seem so passionate about what they were doing. Why couldn’t they just leave well enough alone? Wasn’t it enough that they didn’t like it and left? Couldn’t they just leave us Scientologists alone to practice our religion in peace? Why did they have to spend so much time and effort going out of their way to write blog articles, be interviewed by the press, write books and even make whole movies about how bad the Scientology experience was? In other words, couldn’t they just live and let live?Read More »Live and Let Die: Why Criticize Scientology?

Scientology – Destruction Is In Its DNA

Note: Because of the length of this article, I never intended to post it online. I broke it down into six parts and made videos out of each one, which are here on my blog and on my YouTube channel. Once I completed those videos, I made it known that they came from this article and more than a couple of people wanted to see the article itself. So, here it is! I’ve also included download links for a PDF version of this, in case you want to read it off-line or send it to someone else. That link is here.

Enforced Disconnection – The Ultimate Evil

In part 5 of this video series, I described the policy of Fair Game as L. Ron Hubbard’s method of getting even with people who were labelled as enemies of the Church of Scientology including anyone who is declared a suppressive person. I’m going to elaborate now on the most extreme aspect of this fair gaming, which in Scientology is called Disconnection.Read More »[VIDEO] What’s Wrong with Scientology – Part 6

There’s Nothing Fair About This Game

There is something very unique to the Church of Scientology that sets it apart from other religions. Like the other policies I’ve been talking about in this series, this is part of the very fabric of the organization. Many Scientologists have no idea that this goes on and would categorically deny that their church does anything like this. However, there is ample proof of it and the church even admits to this. What I’m talking about, of course, is the policy of Fair Game.Read More »[VIDEO] What’s Wrong with Scientology, Part 5

You’re Free to Say What We Want You to Say

In part 3 of this series, I explained how L. Ron Hubbard, the founder of Scientology, invented the Scientology Bad Guy – the Suppressive Person – and how this was done to not only explain away Scientology’s failure to universally produce results but also to vilify anyone who didn’t want to do Scientology or who said it didn’t work.Read More »[VIDEO] What’s Wrong with Scientology, Part 4
